Please do yourself a favor and do not buy the 7990. You will be much happier with the GTX 780, and yes, it will destroy any game you throw at it, including BF4. It'll also allow you to enable the advanced PhysX effects featured in the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts.

The GTX 780 is also going to be bundled with the new Batman: Arkham Origins also filled with the latest PhysX effects.

And if that's not enough, then how about you just listen to the words of Chris Angelini, the Worldwide Editor-In-Chief of Tom's Hardware:

Quote:
"When it launched, a generous eight-game bundle had me on the fence about the 7990’s prospects. But after spending time evaluating its thermals and acoustics (to say nothing about its crashes and performance hiccups in CrossFire, which could become a story unto itself), I can’t think of one reason to recommend 7990 to a friend. And, at the end of the day, that’s what this job is all about."

Don't buy a BF4 rig just yet... wait a couple months for the game to be released so that you know what it needs for ultra. Also, AMD's new cards will be out by then.

The 7990 is a fail, as has already been pointed out. 780 is the better option, but if you wait two months you can either get something better from AMD or at least get a sizable price drop on the 780 :)

I have a 2500k with 8 gigs of ram, just bought a GTX770. Depending on the BF4 map the card runs between 50 and 70 frames per second in 1080 on Ultra settings. I'm sending it back to Newegg and upgrading to a 780. I use FRAPS in the corner of my monitor. I'm betting on the GTX780 hits 100 frames at some point.

Just got the GTX780 from Newegg. BF4 runs on ultra settings with Vsync at 60 FPS steady. I set the fan to run up to 58% and the GPU never hits 60. Battlefield 4 looks absolutely stunning. Turn off the Vsync and frames will shoot up past 100 FPS in some maps.
