Okay I'll start from the beginning. I came home from work and noticed my computer has not booted normally it has booted to a black screen with a flashing cursor. I restart the computer and same thing. So I restart again go into the bios select my harddrive to boot to and it boots right up. I log in and it just stands still with a loading icon in place of my mouse cursor, not letting me do anything. So I shut it down pull out my slaves and all unnecessary hardware(web cam, usb hub etc) and try booting again. This time it automatically boots to my ssd(the harddrive with windows, and ubuntu on it) however when I log in it does the same thing. So pull the harddrive out throw it in my laptop to confirm it is either a problem with the ssd or windows. It replicates the same problems in my laptop. So this time I boot into safe mode it functions long enough to let me copy over some files to my external then starts doing the same thing windows does when I boot normally. So I decide after two or three times of booting to safe mode and getting the files I need I decide to go into the windows tools. It will not allow me to back to any of my restore points. When successfully repairs when I try. Ram check game good. Then I try and boot to my last success boot and when the computer restarts and comes back on it wont recognize my drive. This time I test it with ubuntu and ubuntu works fine until I try and open firefox at that point it just sends me back to ubuntus login screen. Weird right? So I am fed up by this I move the ssd to another sata port on my mother board throw in my windows 7 install disk and try and repair it. When I do it wont recognize my ssd. Same thing if I try and reinstall. I'm at a loss what to do. Please help.
