I'm having an issue with my Video Card. It outputs just fine when connected to my tv/monitor, and the fan works, but for whatever reason it's not being detected by my system . I've updated my BIOS, and still nothing. I've ran the Windows Exp. Index and for my gfx I get a 1.0. Device manage only lists the "Standard VGA Gfx Adapter." I bought a bigger power supply to see if maybe that was the problem (went from 600w to 850w), but it still persists.

I've tried using the CD I got with the card, but every time I try to run it it says to "please insert a disk into the drive".

Does anyone have any other ideas? Or should I consider it trash?

MOBO - MSI Z77A-G45 GAMING
GFX - EVGA GEFORCE GTS 650 Ti Boost

Just before you hurl the card out have you downloaded the latest drivers from NVIDIA.com and installed them? If you haven't then the system will only see it as a standard VGA. THE PSU and the system BIOS are not really what you need to be dealing with.

Get the right drivers and miracles will take place. ;-)
