I did read the forum rules, YES I DID. But all the searches were from a few months back

now. I bought a new gaming laptop, high end stuff. 2500$. It came loaded with all sorts of delicious bloatware. I wanted this gone, i dont even know why OEM's bother with it. I went with a PC Reset and its been slow.

I am getting 1% per hour. 1 friggin percent. This is very annoying.

I am wanting to pull the cord out now and see if I can just install 7 again.

Solution
Don't do a reset then, a clean install will be faster. The reset is most likely using the oem partition which will just load up all the bloatware.

There's nothing really wrong with Windows 8, people just cried sort of like when Vista came out over a major UI change.

So "I am wanting to pull the cord out now and see if I can just install 7 again." - does this mean you are blaming the OS? What is the question you are wanting to know?

Windows 8 dvd for if you want to fresh install windows 8, Windows 7 to fresh install Windows 7 - it's really your choice in what you pick, just don't go back to XP due to microsoft discontinuing security support for it.

Assuming you have backed anything up you want to keep delete the C:\ partition in advanced tools during the windows installation, and then install it to the unallocated space on that HDD you just deleted the partition from or set up a partition again of your size choice and install onto it. Goodluck highfive! ^5

You could most likely install it, but if they don't have drivers for 7, most stuff won't work. What's the model number? Next time I'd suggest not going with any normal oem for anything high end. Go with a custom sager or at least asus or msi.

You don't need a cd and could use usb to install.
