Looking to upgrade, need help with compatibility information.

At the moment i have an Intel(R) Celeron(R) E1200 (dual core : 1.60GHz)
It's an LGA775 socket so to upgrade from it would i just have to get a CPU with the LGA775 socket, Or is there more to it than that to get it to keep it compatible with my motherboard?

you need to fond out the make and model# of your motherbd and then go to their support website and look up the supported cpu's. For example OEM motherbds (HP, Dell, Compaq...) only support a few processors typically while an aftermarket board supports a much wider spectrum.
