i am having a problem with my laptop, its the asus g55vw-ds71, and i did a clean install of windows 8 on it from windows 7. i have all the necessary drivers installed but it seems that all my usb ports dont work, as soon as i plug something in, it lights up for half a sec then turns off. i looked into my device manager and it seems that the whole usb section is messed up. there is no icons of a usb and all the usb devices have the unknown icon. please any help will be useful, ive tried everything and cant find anything on this.
Edit: all the usb works on boot and in bios, its just when it loads the os it stops working.
Edit: Also i went to regedit : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000} and found all only default value set to nothing, there was nothing else in the list.
