Hello all I'm interested in using this tv as a monitor

http://www.samsung.com/ca/consumer/tv-video/tv/led/UN32...

It would be about 3FT away from me. I do mostly gaming and internet stuff. I'm just wondering would this be a good buy for about 349.99 CAD + tax. I'm currently using a SyncMaster P2570 and a SyncMaster 2232 GW (this monitor is dying). I've had both for a few years now and I've heard that its not unheard of to now have a TV that doubles as a monitor. TV wise the Samsung 32" UN32EH4003FXZC has received really good reviews..so I know its good for that. Any suggestions? Any alternatives? Should I should just stick with monitors for pc's? I really want to get the most bang for my buck for my PC and for Console Gaming and Blu-Rays etc..so I want something multipurpose unless its a HORRIBLE idea. Thanks for any help!

It really isn't a great idea. Tv's have a lower pixel per inch density (PPI) than monitors do) that's fine if you are on the couch but when you are close it won't look as great.

Yes, you can do it, but that TV is only 768p not 1080. I'd say, if you're gonna use a TV as a monitor, get
at least 1080p and the smallest size (def below 40") TV with 1080p res. It still won't be as sharp
as a 1080p monitor because of the size diff, but I think the 768 res would disappoint you after
a short period of time.
