Hey all,
Had this system for 3 maybe 4 years now and I think it's time for an upgrade as newer games have to be run on medium and even then it's not 100% smooth.

Current System:

Mobo: MSI P55-GD65, Intel P55 Express
CPU: Intel i5 760 @ 3.4ghz
Ram: (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
GPU: 2x Nvidia GTX 470
PSU: 750W Antec TruePower New Blue

I would like to upgrade the mobo, CPU and GPU:

Mobo:
msi z87-g45 gaming intel z87 s1150

CPU:
intel core i7 4770k 1150 haswell quad core 3.5ghz 3.9ghz turbo 1250mhz gpu 35x ratio 84w retail

GPU:
4gb msi gtx 770 twin frozr oc-gaming 28nm pcie 3.0-(x16) 7010mhz gddr5 gpu 1137mhz boost 1189mhz core

Would this make a big difference?
Considering it's going to set me back nearly £800, or is it just worth sticking with what I have for another year or so.

Also would the RAM and PSU out of my old system work fine?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

that'd be a nice upgrade and it would make a huge difference, but it all depends if you want to, what i usually do when it comes to upgrades is wait for big sales like black friday for instance, i saved $390 just by waiting until then to buy it, the computer i had before did everything i needed it to up until then and it was well worth the wait for that much money in savings.

Just checked and mine is supposed to be compatible :)
Looks like ill be buying a few bits today, after comparing my current set up to the new one I should notice quite a difference!

Should I reformat my SSD with the new bits?

Ive tried it on the on board graphics and the gtx 770 still nothing.. as you can imagine I'm panicking!
Any help would be greatly appreciate.

Your PSU may not be Haswell-compatible after all... If the system turns on then turns off without GPU... it is all about CPU and PSU...

Thanks for the replies,
I've just rebuilt it all, checked all the pins on the MoBo and CPU etc, tried it with and without graphics card, tried the ram in different slots, and I still have the same problem, just comes on for a few seconds then back off.
So your thinking its more than likely my PSU? Do you think it's worth me risking spending £100+ on another PSU?
