Hey there, here are my system specs:
intel core i3-2120 3.3GHz
Gigabyte GTX 550 Ti Windforce (970MHz)
G-Skill ARES 8GB (2x4GB)
Gigabyte GA-P75-D3
Thermaltake Commander MS-I
Thermaltake LitePower 450w
I also have an aftermarket CPU Cooler which is Arctic Freezer i30

So I just started playing Battlefield 3 single player campaign and I heard that people with hardware similar to mine can play the game at 1080p with Ultra settings except for MSAA so I thought I can play it with at least these settings at 60 FPS since I have 1366x768 resolution but during combat with many people I get 40 to 50 FPS and in closed areas with no effects and no people I get over 60 FPS.

I'd appreciate any help so thanks in advance!

A 550 is a mid range card, if you want more performance you will need to upgrade. I couldn't max BF3 with a 570.

It's not just about the game looking good. It's about the fact that my graphics card isn't as good as I read about on many websites before buying it.
I did find settings that look good and are 60 FPS and drops but never lower than 50.
I'm playing with Ultra Settings with MSAA and Motion Blur off.
