i found this after coming back from a trip that lasted 1 week and i searched all over the internet , i don't know wether it is a hardware problem or a software's...so anyhelp will be appreciated

So you means you plug in speaker and headphone but the computer do not recognize them? Is it right? I just ask for sure

Have you gone to device manager? Device manager is in control panel

Oh, I'm sorry. You do not need to go to device manager. Right click at the speaker icon in the right bottom corner, choose playback devices. Do you see any active playback device and any active recording device in recording tab?

well in the playback device it shows me a grey looking speaker icon with a red arrow pointing down
and the same goes for the recording device which shows a microphone and a line input .

Maybe try to reinstall the audio driver. Have you checked your speaker and headphone cable? Is it plug in probably?

yes i did check the cables and i downloaded the latest audio driver but didn't work !! i'll retry doing it again but for that i need to redownload the driver cause it was deleted during my try to regain my configuration using the recovery method :/

i had the same problem. then i went to this site: http://www.official-drivers.com/installer/?seed=realtek&cate=audio&gclid=CPar1979uboCFQeS3god-hAAEg
and i downloaded and installed driver tuner from there. it fixed all my problems.
