i just bought a GA-990FX-UD3 rev3 2 days ago.
And also bought an aftermarket cooler with it which is a Deepcool ice edge mini FS.
It has 2 heat pipes and direct to cpu contact.
Processor is a FX-6100.
With my previous mobo with stock cooler, temps are 55c on max load.
With the 990fx + deepcool cooler, temps are reaching 79c on max load.
I have already done the following
- Re-seat cpu
- Clean cpu
- Re-seat cooler
- Removed cooler stock thermal compound and REPLACE with an aftermarket thermal compound.
The temps are still THE SAME. :/
One weird thing is that the temps never reach above 80 degrees. It peaks at 79 no matter how much Load i stress on the cpu. . Core temp's TJ MAX is 80. What is going on?
