Hello, I just bought a 140mm Cougar Vortex fan to mount on my sidepanel. I have two Gigabyte GTX 460 in SLI http://

I don't know if i should mount my Cougar fan to blow in cold air or blow out the hot air from the cards. I have a Fractal Design Define R3 case with two fans in the front blowing in air, and one in the back blowing out air from the case.

What mounting would be the best?

Thanks!

Remove the noise dampening material from the fan-hole furthest back on the top of the case. Move one of your front fans up there to blow air out, and then mount the side fan to blow cold air in onto the graphics cards.

The remaining front fan should be the bottom one.

This will get you a good flow through the case, and keep your SLI-setup cool.

The fan on the side panel of the Fractal Design Define R3 should be an intake fan. Its purpose is to blow cool air onto the graphics cards.
