When ever I go on to a game that is 3d or slightly graphic intensive I play for about 1 minute and then the game freezes and I have to go into task manager to delete it. On battlefield it comes up with this message:

DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG: Device hung due to badly formed
commands.. GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 ", Driver: 311.04

My system:
i5 3560k stock
gtx 680 stock
8gb patriot ram
P8Z77-V LX2
2tb seagate barracuda
750w PSU

Please can you relpy with any suggestions to fix the problem. Personally I think the graphics card hardware is to blame.

The only way to know for sure is to test it in a different system. You don't want to replace the card, just to find out that the PSU is the culprit (Even though it doesn't like it is in this situation, you never know). Anyway, have you tried running synthetic benchmarks, such as Furmark?
