Keyboard and Mouse Randomly Freeze [Please Help]

For the past few weeks i have had an issue of my mouse and keyboard both simultaneously freezing/locking up and my system is running fine when this happen. it mostly occurs when I am playing a game (league of legends). It started, i believe when I began to stream my games Online.

the keyboard and mouse that i currently have is:

Logitech k120 keyboard
Logitech B110 Mouse

i know that they are not that great of a keyboard but they have not caused me problems until now. To solve the problem I change the keyboard usb plugin from the back (where I usually keep it) to the front of my PC tower, this only fixes the problem for a couple of hours and then the same problem occurs. i have to restart my computer to make both of them work again and now this is getting tiresome.

I have tried the following things to fix the problems:
Re-installed both mouse and keyboard drivers.
Updated the mobo BIOS.
Switched the USB hub from power saving mode on to off.

Things that i need to try:
Test the mouse and keyboard on another machine.
Use another mouse and keyboard on my machine.

Please help me solve this problem, thanks you.

if it only happens when youre streaming a game then the problem most likely lies in the game or the streaming software. Go ahead and try another keyboard and mouse but they'll probably do the same thing because they're just usb peripherals and they are controlled by the OS through the mobo. Possibly run a spyware and virus scan as well. Your pc may be infected with something and running the game and stream is causing it to lock up. Thats unlikely but it cant hurt either.

The problem also occurs when I'm browsing the web, so I'm not too sure if the game itself or the broadcasting software is the problem. additionally I have scanned my computer of virus and spyware but my computer seems clean.

I also want to add that I also tested the usb port using a flash drive to see if the port was malfunctioning after the whole freezing of the keyboard and mouse. in this case the usb flash drive worked perfectly fine.

thank you for replying so quickly i am going to try some other stuff to see if anything helps. ill post on this forum with updates.

I've experienced the same problem over recent weeks and even though i too notice it most when playing league of legends it is not restricted to this activity as it happens at random times whilst doing anything else. I do not stream. I believe the problem can only by with a windows update. i have looked at several resources for a solution but have yet been unable to find a solution although it does seem to be a very common problem.

r.e. I looked at my event log and noticed a Critical event in the DriverFrameworks-UserMode This is my Samsung Galaxy SIII on charge via the USB I have unplugged it and am experiencing a short period without any issues. I will update later if this has resolved my particular problem.

I have the same problem. My keyboard and mouse freeze up so i have to restart pc to make it work again. mostly happens while playing LoL or surfing the web (once while writing this too). I can see whats happening, but the mouse and keyboard just freeze. Sometimes it freezes only for like 2 seconds, but usually so that only restarting helps.
Please let me know if you find the answer
