Hi, I'm fancying mixing colours in my new system build and was planning on going with the corsair vengeance 1600mhz version (2 times 2*4gb).
The name/number or whatever it is on back of the ram-stick is:
Black: CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
Red:CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R.

Also, I don't know if it's worth mentioning, but it says version 3.24 on the red ones and version 8.16 on the black ones.

Will I be able to use these together?

Solution
I would not do that. Even though it is likely to work.

Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards can be very sensitive to this.
That is why ram vendors will NOT support ram that is not bought in one kit.
Although, I think the problem has lessened with the newer Intel chipsets. Still,
it is safer to get what you need in one kit.

And... if you want 16gb, buy a 2 x 8gb kit. It is easier for a motherboard to manage 2 sticks vs. 4.
