Kraken X60 instillation question.....Please Help!

I recently decided on the Kraken X60 to cool my first gaming rig. However, I was looking through the manual and it says that "software must be installed before hardware". How is this possible for a person who is building a new rig from scratch? Has anyone else run into this? Does this mean I have to install the stock Intel fan, build the machine, install the software, and then replace the fan with the X60? That seems like a pain. Sorry if this is actually a stupid question, this is my first build.

Any input would be welcome, thanks in advance.

ingnore those instructions they usualy make no sense just install it as regular it means in theory you want to get you system up and running with the stock cooler install the sofware to control the cooler and then turn it off and replace the stock cooler with the kraken
