Hello everyone,
Recently I have bought a secondary MSI R7870 OC/2gb for my computer and I've put it in my computers secondary pcie 16X 3.0 slot. (which is connected with 4 pins, I know this will make it a bit slower) Also I have connected a crossfire bridge to both cards. Ofcourse both of the 6 pin power cords have been connected.
Now, when I start a game or sometimes just after the boot my computer just freezes, I can't do anything. But however I runned the Heaven benchmark and that just seemed to work. Note, the computer does not freezes when I start a game when crossfire is disabled in Catalyst Control Centre. (version 13.4) Also I am using the MSI Afterburner software to increase cooling and so lifespan. When I was running a single card set up I had it overclocked to 1150 mhz, this was done thrue the Afterburner software. (Does this interfere with crossfire?)
Can someone please help me, if someone needs to know something or I forgot to mention something just tell me.
My computer specs:
Amd FX-8120 (stock clock)
8gb 1333 mhz ram
MSI R7870 OC/2GB (2X)
ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 (First PCIE 16X connected with 16 lanes and second with 4 lanes)
Cooler Master 750 wat PSU ( 4 PCIE 6+2 pin connecters)
Thanks in advance.
