yeah its okay but i would really recommend getting a cheap aftercooler, even if not overclocking because stock cooler is pretty useless.

It works ok on a stock CPU...the bugger is...it's incredibly LOUD! A cheap cooler like a Cooler Master 212 EVO or Xigmatek Gaia, or something like one of those 2 will do as well or better and run MUCH quieter.

The stock cooler is fine.

It's not as great as the old Opty "4-heatpipe" copper coolers, but it's quite nifty. It has a BIOS-level fan speed control which varies by motherboard OEM.

i run a 6350 with a stock cooler, turbo'd up in the bios (bit noisy but who gives i dont live in a library) with a oc multiplier of 21.5 giving me 4.3ghz with cool n quiet active, idles at 18c never goes above 66c at max load. unless you care about noise its absolutely fine. the typing on my keyboard drowns out the noise anyway, its comparable to a fish tank pump only the pump would be louder

I always heard it's really not good to run AMD cpu's above 60c.

it'll work, but be pretty loud...that's why I got rid of the sucky stock intel heatsink, thing was like a lawnmower.

Hyper 212 plus/evo/Xigmatek Gaia or even the Loki, or Enermax T40

you have 18c with stock cooler? I have 57c by doing nothing and when i play games i get to 72c. What options did you used to remove big heat on my CPU

Are you using the stock cooler or an aftermarket one? Reapply it correctly and make sure there's even any thermal paste...put a pea size drop in the middle and apply the heatsink down. That's WAY too hot when the cpu is doing nothing. Seems like there might not be any thermal paste at all applied >_>

I have a lot of those Opteron socket 940 heatsink/fans. They are great. Better than a Hyper 212 EVO. Plus they blow cool air on the chipsets.

i used normal thermal paste but i get 44c by doing nothing and when i play game normaly it gets to 66 or 65c and if games a little more demanding such as men of war assault squad 2 then i get to 71c and for Far Cry 3 my CPU overheats at 75c and then i get blue screen error. And My Cooler is stock AMD FX6350
