Budget is $700 willing to go $800. Need to be able to play arma 3 and record at the same time. Want to be future proof for the next year or so.

This will be great for your needs, and is overclockable. I used the best part to performance ratio.

- Game recording requires a lot of RAM Buffer, so I would suggest a higher MHz RAM like this:
CORSAIR Vengeance LP 8GB - 57.99$ after Rebate.

Other than that it's perfect for his needs :)

He needs to record as well. That requires a strong CPU (overclocked).

You do not have the budget for a K series i5.
If you're willing to extend your budget to get an i5 - be my guest :)

xeon e3 1230 v3 is also an option, its the same as i7-4770, only cheaper

fx 8320 is weaker then xeon e3 1230 v3, even when its overclocked.

I just checked a couple of websites and they say that the fx 8320 is still better than the xeon e3 1230. Why do you think the xeon e3 1230 is better than the fx 8320? Are you drawing your conclusions from experience or what?
