I decided to return my laptop back to factory settings in hope it would fix the internal issues.

Now when I turn on the laptop I am asked to reinstall Windows.
I used this site: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/14709-Windows-7-Digital-River-direct-links-Multiple-Languages-X86-amp-X64/page60?p=470600&viewfull=1#post470600 - and used the microsoft usb/dvd dowloader to get the IOS file onto the USB.

What do I do now? and how do I get the laptop to run the windows set up, as I only get the HP start screen and then the message telling me to install windows.
Can it be done during the boot?

Thankyou

What is the model of you HP machine? Have you checked to see if it has a recovery partition? Check the HP website for your model and look for the user manual. It should have instructions on how to restore the laptop to the original factory condition using the recovery partition. The restore process is normally done during the boot process. Usually there is some key combination you use to access the restore/recovery process.
