[strike]I have my HD7850 (ASUS 2GD5-V2) on 1.150 mV(undervoltage from 1.210 which is pretty high from what i've heard, ASUS...)
I've pushed the power limit to +5%. Core clock is 1000Mhz and Memory 1300Mhz. My Temps are fine. Some stuff i wanna ask.

-How can i see my Memory clock is too high for the GPU to handle?
-How can i see my Core clock is too high for the GPU to handle?
-How can i know if my voltage is right and not too high?(which will reduce lifespan frm what i've heard).
-And what is the max safe Temp for my GPU?

I wanna see how far my GPU can get on OC. I
never OC'd a GPU before, and this is the first step i made.[/strike]

And one more question is why on GPU-Z my voltage is still the same(VDDC) but i changed on Afterburner

Solution
The only way to know if memory clock or core clock is too high for your GPU (at the current set voltage) is to stress test it by either playing gamesor using a program like Kombustor. The max voltage I would recommend is 1.25V, you can go to 1.3V but at that point it may decrease the lifespan, don't increase the voltage unless you need to though, ie the card is unstable and need a voltage increase. The max safe temp is 85*C but try keep it below 80*C just for the sake of its lifespan.

The steps to overclocking a GPU is pretty simple, always set the power limit to +20% and then increase core clock untill it becomes unstable 25mHz at a time, when it becomes unstable increase the voltage in 25mV increments untill the clock becomes...

There's no way i can decrease/increase the voltage. Seems like Asus have locked it. Even through their own software has overvoltageing capabilites. First i throught it might be the drivers, reinstalled and even tried other versions. No luck. I just can't seem to get the voltage increased
Edit: Seems like i've reached the max core clock on stock voltage 1.210 It's getting veeeery laggy now(decrease of FPS instead of increase). I'm on 1050Mhz and 1350Mhz Memory. Think i'll keep it this way :). On 70 degrees. I'm happy

Edit2: The lag was because i forgot to increase power control to 20%. Almost on max CCC settings. 1050Mhz and 1400Mhz reached on stock voltage. yay. Furmark testing done. Now some games and see what happens. But still don't know why Voltage is locked on my GPU.

Yes i tried. Might be something with AMD drivers 13.8 beta 2. As after the installation Windows told me that there was a "digitally signed driver needed" and it blocked this: aoddriver2.sys. Althrough AMD Overdrive just works in CCC.

Sorry for late reaction but still need help. I still can't de-/increase the voltage. Got 13.10 Beta drivers now(which are properly signed now). I tried DDU(A fanmade driver uninstaller) V7.0. Still doesn't work.

I actually had this exact same problem with afterburner with my 7970 and couldn't fix it so I had to switch to Trixx (sapphires OC software), I assume you have the version of afterburner that does allow you to change voltage and have enabled allowing voltage tweaking?
