I need to sell a laptop and my current OS is Windows Vista which contains all my information. I have another hard drive which is new and I am planning to use that if I sell my laptop since I didn't want buyer to retrieve my confidential info.
Question is I am planning to take out my old hard drive with Windows Vista OS and install the same Windows Vista OS in a new hard drive. Will I be able to put the old one back without any problem of OS formatting? I don't want seller to back off and doesn't want it anymore. Waste my time and such. I am still using the laptop so I am hoping I won't have to re-install everything back.
