Hi, I am building my first gaming desktop and my budget is around $500. I already have an SSD, Windows, 1080p monitor, etc. Any advice on the following build would be greatly appreciated!

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1zbEZ

CPU: AMD FX-8120 3.1GHz 8-Core
MB: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 7870 2GB
Case: Antec Three Hundred Two ATX Mid Tower
PSU: Corsair CX 430W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V
Total Cost: $519.94

(The case needs a 2.5" bay for the SSD and USB 3.0 for my external.)

Thanks!

HOLY GOD thank you. Looks great. One thing, does it matter that that GPU only has 1 fan? (I beez totalz newbz :p)

Tends to run a slight bit hotter, but it's worth the performance. You might not be able to overclock if really well if that's what you wanted to do, but even out of the box, it will provide a lot more performance than an overclocked 7870, and it's only $20 more, so...

Wow, thanks guys. I'll leave this up for a little longer in case anyone has a different build they'd like to share, but I'll probably just pull the trigger on that one!

Thanks again.
