I thought that the GTX 670 was better than a GTX 760. Plus that 670 has 4GB of VRAM, which will be useful is Skyrim and a slightly quieter cooler.

You were right.
The GTX 760 is inferior to the GTX 670 in every way.
Consumes more power, performs worse at stock and gains less performance from overclocking.
It's not new technology either.
It's the same chip, just more cut down.

Stick with the GTX 670.

I was just about to recommend an overclocked GTX 670 with 2GB memory over this one.
Then I saw people hitting a VRAM limitation in Skyrim with 4GB GTX 670/680's.

In my opinion, since you're not going to overclock right now, I suggest you skip the CPU cooler and upgrade the CPU and Motherboard instead.
This will give you better performance at stock and more performance left to be gained in the future.
