Updated BIOS recently, but problem remains; the BIOS view on my monitor is very messed up. I see a rectangle with the time/date and the mouse cursor, the rest is blank. When I move the mouse the blankness is replaced with what's hiding. Only if I 'wiped' that area with the mouse... I have been able to determine that I am only getting the top - left view and missing a good chunk of the right side and bottom. It is extremely difficult to manage any BIOS settings without viewing them.... any ideas how to fix this?

Solution
Sounds like your monitor is not compatible with the default output res of UEFI. You can try switching from HDMI to DVI if your monitor has the option as it may make a difference if there is a handshake issue on one of the inputs. Other than that there is no "fix". UEFI outputs at a single res only.

I plugged an old 17" monitor to the video card and the view auto-switched to that and it looked great, I was able to do what I needed to.

Thanks
