Is this a good pair up ? In my country the memory costs 66 euros . Is there a better option around there ?

I would personally say it would be fine, but it isn't on the qualified vendors list. But all that means is that ASUS don't directly support the use of the two together. M5A97 Evo R2.0 also supports 1866Mhz so thats all good. So I think you'd be ok to buy that RAM, but you wouldn't be able to ask ASUS for support later on if they aren't compatible in any way.

Good to know , just wanted to make sure because i've heard of some people having problem with the combination of the 1866mhz snipers and the fx-8320/8350 and you know its kinda dissapointing to have a malfunction right at the start without having done anything wrong...They say that some fx's cant handle 1866 , i dont know what the case may be.

All FX CPUs can handle DDR3-1866 just fine, but not everyone has the experience to understand how to set it up properly. It is not plug and play, so people can run into issues, or they assume it should just run at DDR3-1866 after they install the RAM. For some better motherboards, there is more BIOS control options than some basic motherboards, so that also makes things easier. But like I said, we can make sure the computer runs at maximum performance depending on the hardware used.

Thank you

Could you please explain to me what i need to do in the BIOS setup in order to avoid any possible issues i may run into ?

BIOS Setup for 1866MHz memory and AMD FX CPU on Asus Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0

Go to AI Tweaker Menu (page 3-8 of motherboard manual)
Set AI Overclock Tuner to [Manual] from [Auto] (page 3-9 of motherboard manual)
Set Memory Frequency to [DDR3-1866MHz] (page 3-9 manual)
Set the first four values in DRAM Timing Control - Primary Timings, (page 3-10 manual) starting with Cas# Latency

For example, the DRAM Timing on G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR are:
•Timing 9-10-9-28
Save and Exit BIOS
