Man seeks gaming monitor in the £150-230 range.
IPS Panel much preferred. Height adjustment and tilt would be nice.
DisplayPort would also be nice but not a must, must.
DVI-D is essential, a HDMI port would be a bonus.
I have been trawling through the internet for days and have found many options but cannot settle on one.

I will be playing Rome 2:Total War, I'm not a fan of FPS as of yet so a lightning ms won't be necessary. This monitor will be used for Video editing, Word Processing and Internet Browsing, BUT mostly gaming.

Could anybody lend some much needed advice?

This is a pretty good budget monitor:

I'm willing to shed out a few more pounds for something with more features. Is it worth getting a 27in at this resolution or is it best to get well made 24? I hear there's text reading issues due to the higher pixel pitch on a HD 27
