I am going to get either of these this weekend at TigerDirect since it is a local computer store. They match price Newegg just to let you guys know. Anyways I REALLY don't know which one to get. I have researched IB and Haswell and I know that IB is a better overclocker and uses less power on full load. While Haswell has a better intergrated graphics (don't really care) less idle power and less overclock potential. I do plan to overclock with Corsair H50.

Rumors also going around that the 1150 socket will be dead because of Broadwell CPU socket next year. So I was weary about that.

I am coming from a AMD Phenom II X4 965 so I will expect a big increase of speed. Another thing is I am planning to get the new AMD cards in October so don't tell me to spend it on GPU. So I will need a new motherboard.

Basically I am asking whether the i5-3570k or i5-4670k and a good OC motherboard with Crossfire. No plan to SLI though.
PS: My old Gigabyte motherboard was weird and keep doing: Loading Operating System... - so a good motherboard that DOESN'T do that will be even better.

Solution
If your going to be rendering and or video/photo editing then you want the i7-4770k or i7-3770k as the Hyper Threading will come in handy. A video card upgrade is also a good thing so there are choices to be made.
I doubt that you'll be able to stick a Broadwell CPU in any LGA 1150 or LGA 1155 motherboard available today. They might even require motherboards with DDR4 support. From this point of view, there's no difference IMO.

The i5-4670K is a bit faster, but you wouldn't notice the difference in real life.

The i5-3570K overclocks a little more than the i5-4670K. For example these guys managed to get the i5-3570K to 4.5GHz but the i5-4670K only to 4.2GHz. Your own results may be different, of course.

You could try the i5-3570k with an ASUS P8Z77-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z77 for example.

Those people that buy the newest and best when it's first released can get burned by not waiting for benchmarks to show what does what. In this case it seems that an Ivy Brrdge while over a year old may be a better choice. Sometimes you go with what just works better instead of what may have new features and the i5-3570k is a bit cheaper to boot.

I would also suggest an Asus board.;

If Broadwell does not use the 1150 socket then they certianly won't be going back to the 1155 socket so you'll need a new board either way if you upgrade with that CPU.

What would be the tempurature diffrence on both? My computer is under my desk and I get around 36-45 temps rather when I moved upstairs, it was on top of my desk and I got around 34-40 temps. So I would like to know which one is cooler.

Well that made me feel better about the socket since both will be worthless either way. Now I am leaning toward the 4670k now since it still ISN'T complently dead while the 3570k is. Would getting a i7-4770k be worth it though if I do upgrade? I plan to record and Render in Sony Vegas. but also I heard that Sony Vegas utilizes the graphic card so I don't think the CPU upgrade will help. Should I go with a 3570k and get a better GPU or a 4670k and save up for a better CPU? I currently have a GTX 560 non TI OC to 950mhz.
