I've been shoving a lot of my spare parts in a box. Which I'm sure is common. But, I also try to keep my more important and used stuff (sata cables, screws) in my tool bag..

I'm just curious what you guys do with your spare stuff, especially units like the PCI-E metal things that you remove when you add a component in. From important things, very specific things, to just extra stuff. Where do you and how do you keep things stored.

Note: I try to keep a lot in a tool bag tote type deal so I can keep it with me. I'm often fixing friends computers and often wishing I had certain tools with me I hadn't brought, so I'm in habit now to always keep my tools with me.

In my room I have a shoe organizer that has a flat top about waist level, to me at least. It has a good 9 compartments in it that fit just about anything I need to. I have cables and power in one slot, PCI stuff in another, Case parts in another and so on. On the far side I have all the important boxes for this PC like the cpu box, motherboard box etc. I can work on top, but I use a dining table for that as it is larger, and I keep a brand new set of screwdrivers and screws in a small toolbox.

lol shoe box. I've got to get some storage shelving. I'm using boxes I get stuff in to store it. and my tool bag. Which is annoying because my toolbag really doesn't have the compartments for computer tools and parts I want to keep with me..
