Thoughts on final list?

Hey Everyone!
So after tons of reading and recommendations I've settled on these parts for my first build. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/1zrce

The computer will be used mostly for photoshop for my part time design/photo job but I also do some audio, video editing and occasional 3D modeling. There is a chance that I will get the "K" version depending if I can get the extra funds in the next couple weeks but I'm not planning to overclock initially but might want the option to do so down the road. I don't own any games for PC but after reading all the topics based on gaming builds I think I may get back into it on occasion, but I have very little time for it.

Future additions will be another 1TB hard drive to have 3 drive set up, possible CPU cooler if stock fan doesn't keep temps at a respectable level. I'm not fully decided on the case and may change it to a Fractal Design R4. I still have to look at the cases in person to make my decision. I already have an optical drive but may upgrade to a blue-ray burner down the road.

Thoughts? What would you change?

Budget is roughly $1200CAD before taxes

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

First you need o ge better mobo. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz87xd3h
This gigabyte do have nuch bettr components on VRM.

PSU is sama thing get better. This is now good priced. But you maybe can find good 550w psu. 550w is enough for your build with one video card.

and cooler this good start. this do have good price performance. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2
If you trow more money to cooler then here is couple good ones.

Thanks for the feedback and links! How is the Gigabyte board better than the Asus H87 Pro? Obviously it looks better and a few minor differences. Also I'm most likely not going to overclock.

As for the cooler, I originally had one on there but took it off. There seems to be mixed emotions about the stock cooler doing the job or not since I won't be overclocking, but for $30 I don't see why not.

Your getting an i7 and plan not to overclock...WASTE. In a sec I'll post a build with can get better performance for the same price or cheaper.... That 650 is getting old too.

Nothing is written in stone yet. I was also looking at the AMD FX 8350 with a better GPU as well. I'm just getting up to speed with all this so it's quite a bit of info to take in all at once.

Open to suggestions

I would go with this build. I do heavy design in Autocad/desk and the 3570k with a GTX 760 runs all my applications smoothly while still multitasking.

Interesting build, definitely take a serious look. Why go this route rather than an AMD FX 8350? Would be roughly around the same price, even cheaper.

I may be able to stretch my budget a bit and get the i7 4770K and a better GPU than the 650Ti. Guess I'm just trying to justify the cost.

Hmm well maybe an 8320 is a better option, let me see what I can do

AMD Build: better for video editing, but if you can stretch your budget I would either go for a i7-3770k or a better GPU than the GTX 760, however this build should do great for any editing program.

So after much deliberation, I just went with the i7 4770k
http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/1BUpf

I know the GPU isn't the latest and greatest but it'll do for my needs since I don't really game, although the Radeon 7850 I picked up is coming with 2 free game coupon :) Also I decided to spend a bit more on the motherboard.

I just ordered some of the stuff, the rest I will be buying locally this week.

Can't wait!
