Can't get display calibration to stick

I have Windows 7 Pro on a 4770K, nvidia 650 TI Boost, ASROCK Extreme6, a dell S2340M and some old gateway monitor. The S2340M is connected directly via DVI directly to the DVI-D port on the card and the random old 1280x1024 is connected via a vga to DVI-A adapter to the DVI-I port. I mainly stay on just the S2340M for games, etc and turn on and extend to the old gateway for document work, as its 5:4 ratio is well suited for vertical work. I am less concerned about color calibration on the gateway.

My issue is that I cannot, for the life of me, get my colors to turn out correctly on my monitor. And anything I use with the "display calibration tool" resets itself every time I turn the computer on.

If it helps, my main problem with colors is that my yellows are too orange, and my greys are just too dark. (And just changing the red does not fix a damned thing)

I have the dell display manager set up for DDC but it's not too much help.

I guess my first thing I'd like to know is how to get the display calibration to actually stick. I literally just go into that every time I start the computer and press "next" without changing a damn thing until it finishes and it improves coloring by about 50%.

I've gone into advanced color management settings too and followed about 10 different walkthroughs to no avail. I don't really need exact color cordination, I just want my yellows to be yellow and not this weird dark orange when I start the computer up.

I have like 6 laptops of mostly different brands and everything looks exactly the same on them, how do I get my desktop to match?

Done. But I doubt this was the problem as I had this issue before I installed the program. We will find out ... in 8-10 hours. Rome II Total War was just released...
