Hi,
I was wondering what overclock I could achieve on a I5 4670K with a cooler master hyper 212 evo cpu cooler. I need the temperatures to be reasonably stale and in the 60-70 degree range so the processor does not get damaged.
You need to take into consideration that not all processors are created equally, even within the same class. One 4670K will not clock the same as another 4670k.
That said, what COULD you achieve? Bit-Tech managed to get 4.4 Ghz so I suppose that would be a reasonable expectation but not a guarantee.
I should mention though that overclocking can void your warranty so proceed at your own risk.
The I5 4670K have a TCase of only 72º, if you mean it running in the 60º-70º for Tjuntion it's ok, but if you want to run at a Tcase of 70º i find it very high, borderline the excesive temp.
