Hi, i recently bought an EVGA GeForce GTX 660 TI SC 3GB, but i have been having lag issues. I have tried Minecraft and Battlefield 3 and they both lag, but for some reason minecraft lags more then battlefield 3. I know the 660 TI SC 3GB should do fine on atleast high settings on battlfield 3 but i get lag even on low settings so i thing it might be my CPU. here are my specs

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-A75-UD4H
CPU: AMD A6-3500 APU
Memory: 8GB DDR3
PSU: 850W Silverpower
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 TI SC 3GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Hey. It should be your CPU. It is really slow and the best thing is integrated graphics, which you aren't using. Minecraft lags more because it is more CPU intensive. You should consider about getting at least i3 or fx 6300 if you don't want to bottlekneck your GPU.

Your CPU is the cause of lag. You may upgrade the CPU to an AMD FX6300 or Core i5 range CPUs to fully use that Graphics card. At present you can try overclocking the CPU that reduces the lag little bit.

It is more than enough. But sadly, your mobo can hold only APU processors from AMD. So if you want something better you have to change mobo too.
If you can afford go with z87+i5-4570. It is better than fx 8350 but more expensive too.

The CPU is the problem.
I noticed an extreme amount performance decrease with AMD in comparison with Intel Processors.

My recommendation is to probably get an AMD FX with 4-6 cores that way you have some fairly moderate performance or you can go with Intel which has a lot more performance.

Two differences between Intel and AMD.
1. Intel performs better normally.
2. AMD-FX CPU'S normally overclock better allowing for a performance increase as well; though you will need a good cooling system.
