I just purchased parts for my first PC build and need help choosing a monitor. I had originally set a budget of $300 for a monitor and really like the 27" monitors. However, with my GTX 760 for my GPU, I'm not sure it would run a 27" at 2560X1440. I plan on getting back into gaming, but not much of the graphically intensive games. I have done alot of forum surfing on the resolution subject and just cant seem to make a decision and need some guidance. at my price point, I would also be looking at a Korean monitor with limited display connections. I think the next cheapest step up would be the 27" ASUS PB278Q or the ACER B276HULymiidprz. Or should i just get a 24" monitor? What do you guys think?

On edit, my system specs are intel i5-4570 and 16gb corsair vengeance ram.

Bigger is always better. Your GPU won't care. It will spread out the pixels to fill the available area. Try it on your 60" TV sometime.

I have a dell U2713HM which is awesome in every aspect. Gaming, photoshop, movies...you name it. 2560x1440 is just fine even for my HD6850 and phantom II x4. Not max details but I enjoy good quality graphics.

At 1440p a 760 you would be cutting down some setting for sure i would recommend going 1080p 24" with the gpu that you have honestly

I mean he can buy it but i would feel alot better if he had a stronger gpu power at that resolution and honestly a 760 isnt going to cut it and he will be dropping some settings for sure

Well, 2x24" is a nice way to go. But It's a bit too panoramic for my taste. I would still vote for a a single larger panel. Or maybe two of them :p  Depends on how fat your wallet is :)
