New to this, the last build I did was in '08 and I had lots of help. I've put together a tentative list so far and was wondering if anybody could shed some light on what they thought of it. I already have a tower, PSU, hard drive and disc drive. My mobo just went out so that's what I'm getting first. I have a CPU, memory and GPU that will work with the one I'm planning on getting, then I will upgrade as time goes on.

I thought about getting the gen3 but had no idea what the extra $10 was for, if anybody could explain it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, just saw that the mobo "supports 32nm chip." Does this mean my 45nm chip WON'T work or that they both do?
