Hello. I am in some serious help of finding a new monitor.
The monitor must be a 30 inch. Not 27 or 24 but 30 inch!
Resolution must also be 2560x1600.
What shall I use this monitor for?
FPS games mainly but also some RTS like SC2 and Diablo 3.
So guys.. What can you recommend me? The price doesn't really matter. I just want a 30 inch monitor that can be used as a gaming monitor first and foremost.
Thanks for your time reading this.
Best regards

There are not a whole lot of "gaming-focused" 30 inch monitors at that resolution, that is, if you're looking for low-response time monitors (1 or 2 ms). Almost every 30" 2560x1600 screen has a 5-6ms response time.
Granted, this isn't horrible for gaming, but for some people it's a noticeable amount of motion-blurring in fast-paced games compared to lower response time monitors. The Dell Ultrasharp 30" are pretty popular I hear, but I'm not sure about others.

I'm saying you will experience it more than you would on a 1 ms response monitor. Look up the specs on your current monitor - if the response time is similar to that range, and you are happy with how you are seeing things now, you will likely not notice a large difference.
http://www.blurbusters.com/ Has a lot of information on the benefits of low-input lag, high refresh rate monitors. Personally, if you're main 100% focus is gaming, you'd be better off with a low-response time, high-refresh rate monitor, and if you're looking in that price range, i'd say take a look at the VG278HE or VG278H (Very similar, one just comes with a 3D Transmitter already in if you intend to do any 3D Gaming) if you must have a large screen, I own the ASUS VG248QE and am very happy with it for gaming.
BenQ also makes a 27" model, but I can't remember the model number for the life of me.

Ah, so I see it does. That's great, and looks like it actually stacks up pretty well with some other monitors. You'll notice later on they compare the motion blur and response times to 120 and 144 Hz monitors later in that article, and even a visual comparison of the motion blur associated. Granted, if you're going for sheer high resolution here, then yes, that Dell U3014 is your best bet. But if you absolutely hate motion blur, definitely give that article a closer look, especially since they use the VG278HE I recommended as a comparison. Hope all this input has helped make your decision though!

To be honest.. I am quite disappointed / mad as hell with this monitor..
I feel the color is flat and it gives me a headache and it hurt my eyes also, no matter what mode I am in (standard in windows and game games)
I've made 2 videos I would like for you all to watch and tell me if THIS is normal behavior of a monitor?
Skyrim:

Battlefield 3:

I swear to god my old Acer G24(gaming monitor oohh ohh) didn't do any of this?
I have tried to turn off dynamic contrast but that didn't do any good. What is going on here?

Whats that, EDID ?EDID = Extended Display Identification.
Open the AMD Catalyst Control Center
Click the Displays menu option
Click the first option Properties
At the top of this page it should display your monitor model.
There is a check-box for Use Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) or driver defaults
Un-checking this option will allow you to manually put in the Maximum Refresh Rate
as well as the Maximum Resolution.

Hello everyone. Update on my former U3014.. Yes former! I returned it yesterday.
The problem I had in games wasn't the monitors fault lol.. Games were made like that! Haha
BUT!
A new problem arose.. The ISP backlight glow was killing me! In dark games / watching movies you could really notice the glow and damn it ruins everything for me.
So I returned it yesterday
Im sitting on a crappy 17 inch now which gives me headache for the moment.. Looking for a replacement. Just wish someone would make a god damn perfect 30inch gaming monitor

Why not try out an UltraWide? Yield better in gaming as well.

Doubt it really. ISP glow is much higher on a 27 and especially 30 inch compared to a 24inch. Not going to touch any ISP panels made from LG, that's for sure. What a terrible experience it has been reallyHave you checked out the HP zr30w? For gaming it has great input lag compared to other 30" monitors due to having no scaler. It has a beautiful picture also because it uses a S-IPS panel. Being a FPS gamer myself, I grabbed one early 2011 and it still amazes me.
