Hi guys,

I am going to build a new gaming PC in Nov end-early Dec this year. I need your help in confirming if this spec will work well together and also suggest a new component in case you feel it needs to change. Also i wanted to know if 1x8gb is good or 2x4gb? And will it matter if I buy 2 individual 4BG rams instead of a 2x4gb pack that we get online?
I live in India and I generally refer to flipkart.com. Please refer to the link below for the site -

http://www.flipkart.com/seasonic-s12ii-620-watts-psu/p/itmd5xz46hjzzrax?pid=PSUD5XZ4GCGRASAY&ref=a22d22df-c8fd-461d-b28f-248471a28f75

You can copy paste the names below to search them in this website.

PSU - Seasonic S12II 620 Watts PSU /
Corsair CMPSU-GS600W 600 Watts PSU

Motherboard - ASRock 990FX Extreme4 Motherboard /
ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 Motherboard

CPU - AMD FX 8350

RAM - G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) PC RAM (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL)/
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) PC RAM (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R)/
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) PC RAM (CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10)

Case - Cooler Master HAF 912 Combat Transparent Side Panel Mid Tower Cabinet/
Cooler Master Elite 430 CPU Cabinet

Monitor - Dell S2240L 21.5 inch LED Backlit LCD Monitor/
AOC E2243FW2K 21.5 inch LED Backlit LCD Monitor/
AOC I2251FWE 21.5 inch LED Backlit LCD Monitor

Thanks! I'm on a budget too. This build is around 52,000rs which is about 700-750USD. But of course, considering the price on these items in US t would come to around 500USD I think - not so sure.

fx 6300 and a cheaper motherboard would be enough.

fx 8350 doesnt realy give more performance...

2 sticks is better then using only 1, so 2x4gb is the best choice

520w psu is also enough

or 550w psu from corsair, cheaper, seems to be the best deal

Ram go with 2x4GB you won't get a performance boost by using 4 dimms (as for G.Skill VS Corsair, its kind of a toss up both make quality dimms). I don't think those motherboards have onboard graphics so you are likely going to need a graphics card (since this is a gaming rig to graphics card is kind of required).

AsRock VS Asus again a toss up, I think most will lean towards Asus but both make quality boards (a bit pricy for a $700 rig though)

You don't have a harddrive listed. I have the Samsung 840 and love it the Samsung Evo series just came out and are a good choice as well.

If you are trying to fit a full rig and a monitor you might be a bit tight on budget. I think you may have to step it down to a quad core

Most likely rig for $700

FX-4130
2x4 GB Ram
AMD 7790 or nVidia 650 TI
120 GB Samsung 840 Evo
Coolermaster Elite 500 watt PSU
Most likely a 880 Series micro ATX motherboard to fit your budget.
You should be able to get a 24" monitor in this budget. But it won't be an AOC or Dell it would be an Acer or something like that.

Thanks for all the replies! I'm sorry I forgot to mention about gfx and hdd, I have amd radeon hd 7750 gddr5 and 1tb hdd on my current setup along with DVD rom. And the reason for choosing 8350 is I don't want to upgrade my CPU-mobo for at least next 5 years. I wil just upgrade gpu on a later stage and thougt 8 core CPU should fit my bill. Will I be Able to do this with a 4 or 6 core processor?

Yeah you're right. But I now game at 1366x786 on 19" monitor and this GPU is great for that.. so maybe I'll drop the monitor plan for now and a year down the line upgrade GPU and monitor for 1920x1080 gaming.. Besides that, do you think the rest will work as a combination and I don't want to upgrade these for at least 5 year like I said earlier. Thanks.

I will not be overclocking so is stock cooler enough? I will buy HAF mid-tower.

But I read somewhere that 1150 socket is the-end and CPU can't be upgraded beyond that? I'm not so sure on that. And more important is will that CPU last me for 4-5 years supporting all future games at minimum mid-high range? I'm not so sure hence going with 8-core CPU. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes I will have to upgrade GPU too but maybe at a later stage. But for now, I have 1360x768 res monitor; is the 7750 good enough for high gaming at this res? I'm not talking about bf3, crysis 3 and those 'high-end' types but for new RPG games like FC3, hitman, tomb raider, AC3-4, Batman Arkham and occasional FPS like MW3-2,etc.

Edit: 7750 can run Dead space 2, htiman absolution at high from what I have experienced in my current rig.

FX-8350
m5a99fx PRO R2.0 [Make sure it's 2nd revision]

Is a sexy combo and i am going for the same specs too. I too live in india [mumbai to be exact] and also have plans to not upgrade for the next 3-4years! I'll be buying the Dell S2240L monitor too! When you upgrade your monitor be sure to go for atleast a gtx 760 or 7950 to make sure you can play the games for the next few years!
