Hey everyone! So to start off I purchased two 650 ti boosts hoping to sli them down the road when I buy a new motherboard. The thing is my current processor is a Phenom II x4 965 BE @3.8 ghz and I don't know if I should buy a SLI capable AMD board or switch to an intel platform. Would my current CPU bottleneck two 650 ti boosts? It seems like the new AMD cpu's aren't much faster than the Phenom line, so I'm really considering going intel and getting a 3570k. Any input would be appreciated! :)

While the first generation bulldozer line wasn't much better...the piledriver line is a solid 15% improvement across the board over bulldozer, which was basically a sidestep from Phenom II. So, you could go with something like the FX 6300...

So, you could go with something like the FX 6300 or even the venerable 8350 if you wanted and be just fine. Your current CPU would push the 2 650ti Boost cards though.

Wow thanks for the info! I didn't realize how capable the Phenom II's are. I'll probably just get a SLI/AMD mobo and save me some cash haha. Thanks for the input guys! :D
