My Nivida gtx660 does not work on my computer why?

My Computer:
i5-33305 cpu
Memory 8gb
Windows 8
Nivida gtx 620
600wt psu

Why is my gtx 660 not working on this computer?
My Computer at start says: the computer will not run this cpu so it changed my settings so i was able to use the intergrated graphics and they suck

did you plug ur monitor into the gpu as opposed to the motherboard?

i'm sure it was plugged in to my gpu but does that change anything?

edit: i plugged the blue cable in to the gpu (i'm not good with computers)

yes, if you have a gpu installed, you MUST plug your display into the gpu otherwise it will not work.

I Have 4 sockets in the back of my graphics card

1st for my blue cable (vga i think)
2nd for my white cable (dvi i think)

and the others i have no clue (again i said i suck at computers :/ )

edit: what one do i use?

i'v tested the blue and white socket and checked youtube and the offical nivdia site and it showed that i did nothing wrong so i don't get it what am i doing wrong

know i get a message saying vga card is not support by uefi driver

go into your bios and see if you can disable the onboard graphics, then go and download the driver of your gpu from NVidia.com

A lot of other forums are telling me windows 8 bio is messed up and you need to do a complicated process to make it work

Go into your bios and go to the advanced tab. Look for the southbridge and click on it. You should see the choices for video. change it to PCIe and save changes. The computer will restart and plug your HDMI cable in and you should be able to use it.
