Hello everyone,

I have bought and have wanted to play ROME II TOTAL WAR since last year the second it was announced. See my problem is, that all of my specs except my cpu check out with the recommended system requierments.

PC SPECS: intel core i5 2430M CPU @ 2.40 GHz
Ram: DDR3 5gb (DRam Frequency:665.3 MHz)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 540 M 2GB VRAM
Mainboard: (Manufacturer; Packard bell. Model; SJV50_HR. Chipset; Intel Sandy Bridge . Southbridge; Intel HM 65)

I wanted to buy the Intel Core i7-2630QM but I'm not so sure if it's compatible to my Laptop motherboard. So can anyone please help me out with this ?

Thank you hence forth the effort and replies !

Best Regards

So you're saying I'm practically screwed ? I mean, it's a motherboard and it is made by intel, so Why couldn't I upgrade it to it. I read a similair thread but only difference was that it was an i3 instead of my i5.

I don't know what to do tbh. I really need to change the bloody CPU . Because it practically renders my pc useless at this point.

Why can I not just, upgrade it into that. I mean what does PB do that, it makes it so tough and hard to upgrade the CPU or any other components in the laptop ?

Could External Fans do the trick ? Like a Laptop cooler etc. I tried playing rome 2 total war but the graphics were horrible and still there was an obvious FPS drop and lagg during the game.
