Hi, I built a new gaming PC two months ago that uses this CPU, I've just recently been told by a friend online that my voltage should not be 1.47v stock, I have left it on auto in bios but this high voltage is beginning to worry me as I cannot run prime or anything that loads the CPU past 50% without easily going past 70c.

Idle temps: 27c
Load@50%: 55c
Load@100%: Unknown but I have seen 74c before shutting my computer down.

I am still using the stock heatsink but I have reapplied MX-2 heatsink compound twice to no improvement in addition to using 9 80cfm case fans with good cable management. I have not suffered a BSOD at any point, my system specs are as follows:

Cpu: AMD FX-8350 (stock HS)
Gpu: Zotac GTX 580 1.5gb
Mobo: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
Ram: 32Gb Patriot Viper 3
Psu: Aerocool GT-1050SG (OEM is HEC)
Storage: Salvaged 1tb HD/128Gb Samsung 840 pro SSD
Sound card: Asus Xonar Essence STX
Case and fans: Aerocool BX-500/Arctic Cooling F12's
OS: Windows 7 Pro

Completely stock, not planning on overclocking anytime soon as I can run every game I have at max graphics with at least 30fps ... Do I have a awful binned CPU or do I need to offset my voltage? It currently is stable.

Also sorry about this wall of text, I just felt like I needed to include all possible information to assist your suggestions! Thanks.

I thought this too, but I wanted comfirmation, thanks :) On another note ... Why has my mobo decided 1.47v? o_O Seems strange that it is so far off stock voltage.
