What CPU?....the mobo has to support the freq, but it's primarily the CPU that plays in - the FX CPUs are supposedly rated up to 1866 at 1 DIMM per channel (this was figured w/ 4 GB sticks)

http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/ddr3memoryfr...

and the QVL is pretty basically useless, they test at the mobo default, not at a sets spec freq:

I am new to the forms sorry for the mass up on this. but yes it the FX 6300

Model#: FD6300WMHkBOX FX-6300 Six-Core 3.5GHz AM3+ Processor - AM3+, Six-Core, 3.5GHz, 14MB, 95W, Unlocked
I did look in to it to make sure the CPU was able to do it. but the snag for me was the speed listed on the Mobo the OC i am readying the links you gave me right now.

No problem, would look to 1600/8 or 1866/9, for AMD rigs I lean to the GSkill Snipers (1.5 volt versions)
