I have a Sapphire HD 7790 Dual-x OC and I get 10-20 fps on team fortress 2 with settings on low-minimum. I have a GT 610 and that works but my hd 7790 doesn't work. When I go to Computer > Management > Device Manager > Display adapters, it says Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and No HD 7790. I have tried disabling the MBDA but still nothing. I have also tried downloading a variety of different drivers and still nothing. Please Help.

What version of windows and is it a 32 bit or 64 bit OS you are using?

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

Desktop Graphics
Radeon HD Series
**I believe step 3 would be Radeon HD 7790 HD PCIe or HD 7xxx series
**Select your OS

this should give you the most up to date drivers.

Another thing to be considered is does the CPU or motherboard contain a graphics card, if so have you plugged the monitor(s) into the correct ports on the correct display device. Good Luck and High Five ^5

Are you using a consumer preview version of Win 8?
Alot of similar results I found were all because of driver version and consumer preview in compatbility. But here's a snippet and some links that should get you towards the right track.

"Find the correct CCC for your chip, download it, and let it put the files in the default folder but DON'T install CCC. Go to Device Manager, Display Adapters and you should see the default Microsoft Display Adapter, click update, direct the updater to the folder your driver is in and it will install your driver for you."

if this solution doesn't work, i would look into replacing your gpu. as it may be defective.

well the drivers you downloaded earlier, when you run the installer I believe it extracts to, C:\ATI, by default - so if you open up device manager and then go to display adapters and double click the Microsoft Display Adapater and click Driver tab.

Now you want to update driver and go to "C:\ATI\DisplayDriver" or something along those directories. If you need further guidance let me know
