Perhaps a silly question and I honestly do not mean to insult your intelligence asking as I made this same mistake when I first moved from an older graphics card to a newer one years ago.

Are you plugging the power into the graphics card? Your old card didn't need extra power from the power supply, I believe. This new one does. In such a case, you would possibly see the screen until it posts, then once it starts to load windows, the screen would go blank and show no input. That was my experience.

Did u consider that the power supply is bad? Do u know that it for surely works? The Thermaltake TR2 series are not the best psus for quality and output its on the 5th tier on this list for quality 1 being best and 5 being replace immediately lol. Looking for a budget psu look at the xfx 550watt or corsair cx/tx or seasonic psus they are all good quality and if ur looking at the tier list are i think tier 2

Well I am on the same exact computer now with the same PSU should I try the molex cable adapters?
And If my PSU is faulty should I return it to best buy and get this one from Newegg:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171084

I dont think it the PCI slot i'm using a lower end graphics card that came in my computer pre-installed so it might be my PSU or should I try to update my motherboard software?

Does the fan on the card spin up? If no, then there is no power at all getting to the card. That could be either the fault of the PS or PCI Express slot on the motherboard or both. I don't suppose you happen to have a friend you could plug your card into his machine and see if it shows signs of life in his machine?
