Is there anyway I could play the game on my computer, when I try to play it it says cannot connect to server ofc cause they shut it down, is there anyway that I can reroute the file, do I need to buy a server or can I set up my home computer as it and be able to play it at the same time? Help appreciated.

Let us know what game it is. There may be some servers that people have set up independently that you can connect to instead of the main server or somewhere to download the software to set up your own server.
http://www.crownsofpower.com/ that's the game but as far as I know there's no independent servers, actually I'd be one of the people interested in setting one up, and I know there wasn't software made specifically to set up my own server
