Hey guys!

Posted here a few times with a similar problem but have finally narrowed it down to my monitor after various tests and replacing different parts in my computer:

My monitor shuts down momentarily when
1) playing (certain) video games
2) when looking at multiple images (i.e. google images search) or large images
or 3) when viewing multiple videos at once

The monitor will go completely dark (off), and then turn back on and show the BenQ splash screen before going back to normal. I am posting here hoping to get some info on why this might happen before replacing the monitor. Plugging in a different monitor solves the problem completely, as well as plugging my faulty monitor into the on-board graphics card instead of my 7950 (so it must also be some faulty interaction between the card and this specific monitor).

Thanks for any help!

Solution
If another monitor works well with your 7950, connected to same connector, and your BenQ not, then I would say it's yours BenQ problem. It's receiving from time to time signal that can't handle so it's shuts it's self. If is under warranty replace it.
Another monitor works well with this programs you stated 1), 2) 3) right?

Yes I am positive it is my BenQ monitor that is faulty, I was just posting here looking for the cause of the problem (and hopefully a fix). I don't want to replace it unless I am sure I can't fix it myself. It's looking like I can't fix it thought ;)

Then replace it. If you want to repair it, you will need to disassemble it, but then it would break your warranty.
