CPU: Intel i7 3770 3.4GHz

PSU: SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W

GPU: SAPPHIRE 100351SR Radeon HD 7970 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card OC with Boost

RAM: 8GB Kingston

HDD: WD 2TB

Thats it, I basically play all games (multi-genre gamer) anyways, anyone have any idea how well this will perform? only have a 1600x900 monitor right now, upgrading in the future though. I have ALL the parts but the GPU & PSU. It is a stock Acer with upgrades im adding. So all i really want is high-ultra with 60+ on MOST modern games. Also I am wondering how this PC will perform in the next-gen games also. Thanks!

More about : gaming good

Hello.

If you only use the pc for gaming, an I7 processor is an overkill. I5 3570k should be more than enough for gaming.
Also, you don't mention anything about the motherboard. The motherboard is one of the most important parts (if not the most).
The 7970 is an excellent GPU, but if you play on less than 1080p (which you are) it's an overkill as well. If you plan to upgrade your monitor however (to 1080p or more), that's an excellent choice and will handle games without any problem.
the PSU is great as well and the RAM also looks good.
Make sure you choose the blue version of the WD HDD and not the black one.

Good luck!

All the info of the stock Acer here (the i7 came with it so, might as well keep it) http://www.acer.ca/ac/en/CA/content/model-datasheet/DT....

do you think my PC will handle next-gen games?

Hi again.
I looked at the link and they say in the datasheet and they don't specify the motherboard there. maybe you can contact them and ask them?
There are some weird things in there as well. They say hd 7470 and there is no such model for desktops (I checked AMD website). They also use a 300W PSU which is really low.
Good thing you are getting those two parts yourself :D
