I'm planning to upgrade my i5-2500k/P67A-GD55(B3).
I'm thinking to build a new configuration maybe using a i7-4820K/P8Z77-V LX2.
Video Card Sapphire HD 7950 (11196-16-20G) PCI-Express 3.0
16GB (4x4) DDR3 GSkill RipjawsX F3-12800CL9D
Should i wait for a new platform (DDR4) to buid an all new PC ?
Thanks.

Do not do this you will gain nothing in the way of gaming.

If you feel the upgrade itch spend all the proposed money on a good GPU like a 770 or a 780 if you have a larger screen setup. You could also wait another few weeks to see what AMD comes up with on the new line of GPU in October. It may or may not be worth it but you could see a drop on the 770 which would be a pretty great thing if you wanted to go that route.

Aside from all that 7970's with nice after market coolers can be found for 300 dollars which is crazy for the level of performance they offer.
