So I'm getting stealthy, killing all the bad red guys on Far Cry 3 and about to liberate an outpost when suddenly the screen gets black, hanged then displays this error:
"Display driver has stopped working and has recovered."
I've searched around Google and found out that my 560 Ti driver was outdated. So, I updated along with NVIDIA GeForce Experience and immediately optimize Far Cry 3 settings. It didn't work and the game still hangs and just got some black screen.
I've also tried Microsoft solutions (here):
Method 1:
I used Microsoft's "Fix It". Didn't work.
Method 2:
Didn't work.
Method 3:
In visual effects I chose to "Adjust for best performance". Didn't work.
Where is the problem coming from? How do I stop the game from freezing up? Do I really have no choice but to just lower the video settings of Far Cry 3?
