my laptop has a dual graphics card,
1) 2GB amd radeon hd 8730m
2) intel HD graphics

everytime i play a game and quit it i can see the intel logo down on the toolbar near the wi-fi symbol which indicates that it was used for the game. the problem is that the games keep lagging. how do i make the games use my proper graphics card ? i.e the 2GB amd radeon hd 8730m for gaming and not the intel card ?

Solution
are you playing when connected to a power source?

laptops use the integrated graphics when on battery and the gpu when plugged in to save on power.

you can change this by going into the power settings and putting it on maximum performance. if that doesnt work you may have to make some other tweaks. keep in mind this will kill your battery performance.

or you can just plug into a wall socket.

i only play when its connected to a power source but still after i exit the game i can only see the intel logo down at the bottom. i have already configured the settings to "best performance" while plugged in. i dont know why it still shows the intel card.
even while playing games like tomb raider (2013), under the graphic settings i only have an option to choose the intel card in the drop down menu, my AMD card doesnt even show up there as a choice.
